EM316NM - Network Management Module

The Fiber DriverŪ Network Management Modules allows for and end-to-end Fiber Driver Optical Transport monitoring and provisioning. These modules are the cornerstone of the Fiber Driver Optical Multi-Service capabilities, enabling full monitoring and control of the Optical Infrastructure from the metro ring to the optical demarcation and fiber optic grooming.

The management capabilities of the Network Management Modules extend from chassis level, down to module, port and optical element level. They provide valuable system performance monitoring and allow for the full Fiber Driver Optical Infrastructure provisioning.

Two generation of Network Management Modules are supplied:

EM316NM - the original Fiber DriverŪ Network Management Module provides management of all the Fiber Driver modules since its inception

EN316LNXNM-OT - the enhanced Fiber DriverŪ Network Management Module was introduced in late 2005 and covers a certain number of Fiber Driver Modules starting with advanced WDM transport and extending in the future to all the Fiber Driver Modules.
