NBase-Xyplex uses a "hardware device type" value in its loading methods via MOP and XMOP. In order for a Xyplex device to provide load services to another Xyplex device or "client" it must maintain a client database of hardware device types which correspond to the various load images that might be requested from a client.

Defining Global or Local Client Entries require only the hardware device type and the load image name. Node Client Entries also require the correct Ethernet MAC address of the requesting link.
